Port Solent houses were built by 2 different developers in several phases over a 10 year period – the most recent being the houses on Bryher Island. The developers for the entire estate were Higgs and Hill Homes Ltd and Crest Homes Ltd although you may see a reference to Swan Hill Plc as well – this is really an evolution of Higgs and Hill who had partnered with another company and returned to build another phase of the development.
As a result of this phased approach, the covenants and legal documents that apply to the residents of Port Solent differ slightly depending on where you live. The map below shows the different phases that were built on a road by road basis. These are scanned versions of the originals. However, you are advised to consult your solicitor as to their interpretation.
